Lead Product Manager — Consent, Preference & Next Best Action Platform
About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Product Manager to drive the strategy, delivery, and adoption of our enterprise Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) ecosystem — spanning Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer, and Customer Journey Analytics. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, data, and engineering, translating enterprise needs into platform capabilities that power personalized, data-driven, and compliant customer experiences.
You will play a central role in scaling Next Best Action (NBA) capabilities — building the decisioning logic, business rules, and consent/preference infrastructure that determine what a customer sees, when, and why, across web, mobile, CRM, contact center, and third-party channels. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role requiring deep product ownership, not just platform administration.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means partnering with key lines of business to translate requirements into detailed, engineering-ready product features, while designing decisioning strategies — including business rules and journey logic — that optimize customer outcomes and business value in real time.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
Own and manage the product backlog for consent, preference, and NBA-adjacent platform capabilities, aligned to the multiyear enterprise roadmap
Translate enterprise strategy, regulatory requirements, and business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Partner closely with the Next Best Action, engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to plan, execute, and release platform enhancements on time and at quality
Balance near-term business needs against long-term platform scalability, maintainability, and compliance
Platform Development & Integration
Lead development of platform capabilities including consent capture, preference updates, suppression logic, policy enforcement, and downstream activation
Design and own business rules and decisioning logic that govern how customer journeys split, branch, and personalize based on real-time and historical data signals
Drive platform integration with Next Best Action, ensuring rules-based logic correctly triggers the right action, message, or experience for the right customer
Partner with business stakeholders to define how data and application integrations enable or disable on-site elements (widgets, buttons, offers, content blocks) based on customer eligibility, consent status, or behavioral triggers
Ensure consent and preference data models, APIs, and workflows adhere to enterprise standards and regulatory guidance
Validate that platform functionality supports omnichannel use cases across web, mobile, CRM, contact center, and third-party integrations
Identify dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs, escalating decisions as needed
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a key product partner to NBA, Marketing, Digital, CRM, Customer Service, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams
Support onboarding and adoption of the platform by lines of business through enablement, documentation, and hands-on partnership
Collaborate with enterprise data, identity, and analytics teams to ensure accurate, reliable use of consent, preference, and decisioning data
Serve as the day-to-day product escalation point for delivery teams and business stakeholders
Customer-Centric Design
Ensure consent, preference, and personalization experiences are intuitive, transparent, and aligned with customer trust expectations
Advocate for customer-centric design patterns that clearly communicate data usage, choices, and controls
Incorporate customer, compliance, and operational feedback into product iteration and refinement
Measurement & Optimization
Track and report on product-level KPIs: consent capture rates, preference usage, data quality, error rates, journey/rule performance, and activation success
Partner with the Director to identify opportunities to reduce operational friction, manual processes, and compliance risk
Monitor platform and integration health, driving corrective actions and enhancements as needed
Required Qualifications
Proven, hands-on experience with Next Best Action (NBA) or comparable real-time decisioning programs— not just general Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) configuration or workflow-building experience
Demonstrated experience building and managing business rules that split or branch customer journeys based on data logic (e.g., propensity scores, eligibility flags, behavioral or transactional data)
Direct experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data- and application-driven UI logic — e.g., enabling/disabling widgets, buttons, or content modules on a website or app based on real-time conditions
Strong working knowledge of workflow/automation rule engines and decisioning frameworks (Adobe RTCDP/AJO/CJA strongly preferred; equivalent platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pega, or similar considered)
7+ years of experience writing detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
Experience working within regulated, consent/privacy-sensitive environments (e.g., CCPA, GDPR, TCPA)
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Marketing, Digital, CRM, Legal, Privacy, and Engineering
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value and vice versa
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on configuration or solutioning experience within Adobe Experience Platform (Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer, Customer Journey Analytics)
Experience with API-based or event-driven integrations supporting omnichannel activation
Background in decisioning strategy, offer arbitration, or personalization strategy design
Familiarity with data quality monitoring and platform performance/integration health reporting
