Nonfiction Storyteller / Ghostwriter — Personal, Narrative Educational Guides (Ongoing) - Contract to Hire

Other Jobs To Apply (July 29, 2026):

## Overview

Cachet is a personal branding platform for high-achieving professionals — executives, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and experts who have serious credibility in their field. These experts are looking to establish their reputation and share their knowledge/story with their audience by turning their expertise into premium, engaging content. We're looking for a true storyteller to turn an expert's raw knowledge and personal experience into premium long-form educational guides.

This is nonfiction, educational content — readers walk away having learned real frameworks, methods, and skills. It should be written in a personal, narrative voice that is engaging, not just informational, and it should never read like a textbook or corporate marketing copy. The best guides feel like the expert is sitting across from you telling you exactly how they figured this out, not lecturing you from a slide deck.

This is an ongoing role. As we onboard new experts across different niches, we'll need guides produced on a recurring basis. If you're a great fit, there's consistent work here.

## What You'll Be Doing

- Receiving source material from the expert (their knowledge, personal stories, tips, frameworks, methods, etc.)

- Weaving that material into a guide that teaches real things but reads like a story — personal, specific, and engaging, not generic or textbook

- Structuring and writing the guide content (8,000 to 12,000 words per guide)

- Capturing and adapting to each expert's individual voice and personality — every guide should sound unique to the specific expert

- Delivering clean, formatted copy ready to hand off to a designer

- Incorporating feedback and revisions promptly

## What We're Looking For

- Proven experience writing nonfiction narrative — personal essays, memoir, long-form profiles, Substack-style writing, or similar. This is nonfiction storytelling, not fiction.

- This is NOT a fit for writers whose background is primarily marketing copy, ad copy, or business/technical content — please don't apply if that's your main experience

- Strong command of English with a genuine feel for voice, pacing, and personal narrative

- Ability to distill information and extract story from raw material and shape it into something engaging — not just organize and summarize

- Organized and communicative — you ask good questions upfront rather than guessing

- Portfolio or samples of previous narrative/storytelling work are required

## Deliverables

- Fully written guide copy (approx. 8,000–12,000 words depending on content density)

- Structured document with clear chapters, sections, and hierarchy ready for layout

- Up to 2 rounds of revisions included

## Budget

Fixed price per guide, depending on length and complexity. Please submit your per-guide rate with your proposal. We're looking for a real storyteller who can deliver consistently; budget is flexible for the right person.

## To Apply

Include 2–3 samples of nonfiction narrative writing — personal essays, profiles, ghostwritten pieces, or similar storytelling work. Please do not send ad copy, landing pages, or marketing collateral as samples; that's not what this role is. Tell us briefly about how you'd approach turning someone else's raw knowledge and story into a guide in their voice.
