Security Officer

<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>We are currently seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team in Free State. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel. This is a permanent position with full-time hours.<br><br><strong>Job Duties<br><br></strong><ul><li>Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain a secure environment</li><li>Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems</li><li>Respond to emergencies and alarms promptly</li><li>Enforce company security policies and procedures</li><li>Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities</li><li>Provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Valid Security Officer licence</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally</li><li>Physical fitness and ability to stand and walk for extended periods<br><br></li></ul><strong>Education<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent<br><br></li></ul><strong>Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Prior experience in a security-related role preferred<br><br></li></ul><strong>Knowledge And Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Knowledge of security operations and procedures</li><li>Ability to use surveillance systems and equipment</li><li>Good judgement and decision-making skills<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>First Aid/CPR certification</li><li>Additional security training or certifications<br><br></li></ul><strong>Working Conditions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Full-time position with expected work hours</li><li>May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays</li><li>Exposure to various weather conditions</li><li>Potential for physical confrontations with individuals</li></ul>
