Principal Logistics Specialist

The Raytheon Logistics and Property Management (LPM) organization is seeking a driven and self-reliant Principal Logistics Specialist to join the Subcontractor Control Team. This critical role ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, contractual obligations, and FAR Property regulatory requirements. The primary responsibility is to oversee and verify that Raytheon subcontractors effectively safeguard and manage all Customer and Raytheon-owned property at their locations. Additionally, the role includes conducting thorough audits and inventories of subcontractor-managed property through a combination of virtual and on-site assessments. This position is offered in the following locations:

  • McKinney, TX
  • Tucson, AZ
  • Portsmouth, RI
  • Andover MA

What You Will Do

  • Interface with Raytheon subcontractors to ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Conduct virtual surveys and site surveillances.
  • Perform inventories of Customer and Raytheon property at subcontractors.
  • Research and perform transactions in various business systems utilized by Property Management.
  • Support compliance with all regulations and internal/external audit protocols.
  • Effectively communicate with customers (both internal and external) to shape proactive relationships that will allow property to comply with all regulations, enhance data integrity and records accuracy, company policies, and audit protocols.
  • Daily interaction with direct team members, extended Property Management teams, Program personnel, subcontractors, and other functions to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Travel 10% of the time for site surveillance.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum five (5) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum three (3) years' experience.
  • Experience with either Logistics, Operations, Contracts, Program or Property Management, and or Supply Chain.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • National Property Management Association, CPPS certification or able to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (APEX, PRISM, SPS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Well-developed communication skills (both oral and written) to ensure effective collaboration with Property Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contracts, Programs, Subcontractor Representatives.
  • Highly self-motivated professional able to work independently with minimal supervision, while effectively managing and prioritizing tasks to meet business objectives.
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships based on mutual respect with peers, customers, and team members.
  • Practical experience with the 10 property outcomes and 22 elements of Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Ability to review data with a highly analytical approach to identify process disconnects or potential system errors.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Government and Purchase Contract structure.
  • Adapts quickly to changing situations and urgent requests to ensure that business needs are met.
